Please note we have a limited number of spots available, and each team must pass the field test to be considered for service.
Prospective Handler Self-Test
- Am I willing to perform a service for the community of Allendale?
- Do I consider myself a responsible dog owner?
- Do I understand that the parks patrolled are intended for use by people first (i.e. they are not “dog parks”)?
- Can I reliably recall and control my dog off-leash even when distractions are present?
If you answered “yes” to all of the questions above, you’re ready to apply!
You can also apply using the form below. Kindly have your dog’s current Allendale Dog License, weight, girth, and microchip ID (if applicable) available.
If you have multiple dogs to register, you will need to fill out the form once for each dog. We’re streamlining the process in the near future – it’s in the works!
