The AVGP committee offers a multi-session training clinic each spring with professional dog trainers to help support current and prospective teams. The focus of the training is to reinforce a positive working relationship with you and your dog(s).

Prospective teams looking to join the AVGP must have a valid Allendale dog license and are encouraged to attend these training sessions which will give insight to the field test. Please note the field test is mandatory for all new teams and requires the handler to submit an application for each team member (dog).
Current AVGP teams who attend the training clinic and are able to demonstrate that they meet or exceed the AVGP Team Standard may be exempt from this year’s field test at the trainers’ discretion and with approval from the AVGP committee.
